HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY!

I hope spring is on it's way now! I'm glad we have changing seasons and can now start to warm up!
I was coming home from Stacey's house the other day in a snow storm. I stopped to put gas in the car and the local news people were at the gas station. They interviewed me about where I had been driving that day and what I thought of the weather. It was on the news that night. Kind of funny. I had Preston in the car, he was being good and didn't make a sound.
My only claim to fame is getting my picture taken for the newspaper on Ground Hog's Day, and a couple of interviews on the local news channel. The other time was in Illinois when I was the Event Coordinator at Michaels. They asked me to demonstrate several craft projects they did a series on for the week. And then this time with the weather interview. Bryan teased me and asked for my autograph. I guess I'm famous now! He He.

MY WINTER PAINTINGS

MERRY CHRISTMAS 2011

We are looking forward to a wonderful Christmas this year with family and friends! We will be thinking of our family members that are spread through out the country; and wishing you a Merry Christmas too. I just talked with Mama (Grandma Garrard) on the phone. They had a wonderful vacation with Ron and his family. They even visited with Aunt Molly and her family! It had been 13 years since they last saw each other.
Well time flies and we are getting older and more rickety. Doug and I have been checked out by lots of different kinds of doctors. We are okay except for Doug's back pain and our regular health issues. Maybe he will be ready to get the back surgery sometime soon. But we feel very blessed that we have a good job that Doug likes. They work around his schedule and are very good to us.
Kim has met her old boyfriend from high school in Brigham City, Utah. They have been getting reacquainted through Facebook. Long story short, they are engaged now and we are all very happy about Bryan becoming part of our family! I'll have to let her tell you all about it.
Ben is busy with his job at Benjamin Moore Paint, playing in his band for weddings and clubs in New Jersey and New York. His girlfriend's name is Jen. She's very nice and has a young son.
Stacey is still the bishops wife and helps run the ward in Honesdale, PA. We have to make appointments to see them! I babysit Emma and Preston quite often so that Andy and Stacey can attend the temple trips with their ward. We had them, Kim and Mike here for Thanksgiving. It was a happy, cozy day together. Emma is getting A's this year in school and has made lots of friends. Preston's birthday is on the 4th and he turns 2 this year.
We love our family very much and miss you all. We are looking forward to seeing you at the Garrard Family Reunion in Alabama this August! I hope you all can come.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
